In 2020 just get MOVEing.

It doesn’t matter if you’re locked down with only an hour a day to MOVE, or if you’re back playing structured sport, exercise and being active have long been regarded as a great way to address both your physical and mental health. Here's some of the reasons why.

Want a burst of happiness and relaxation? Get MOVEing.

When you’re MOVEing, exercise reduces the levels of stress hormones in your body. Working out enhances chemicals in the brain—like dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine—that are associated with improved mood and decreased stress. When we boost our heart rate, our body releases endorphins, resulting in a boost of energy and improved mood. By exercising, your mood can be significantly enhanced by the brain learning to naturally produce these mood-enhancing substances, reducing the stress hormone cortisol.

Need a good nights’ sleep? Get MOVEing

Did you know that sport and other forms of physical activity improve the quality of your sleep? It does this by helping you fall asleep faster and deepening your sleep. Spending more time in the restorative sleep stage not only enhances your immune system functionality, it can help manage stress and anxiety. Sleeping better can improve your mental outlook the next day, as well as improve your mood.

Struggling to concentrate? Get MOVEing.

Regular physical activity helps keep your key mental skills sharp. This includes sharp thinking, learning, and using good judgment. Research has shown that doing a mix of aerobic and muscle strengthening activities is especially helpful. Participating in this kind of activity three to five times a week for at least 30 minutes can provide these mental health benefits.

Need a physical boost? Get MOVEing.

You have more than 600 muscles in your body that contribute to about 40% of your total body weight. By moving, you are strengthening your muscles, which improves stability, balance, and coordination. Don’t forget, stretching helps maintain your muscle health as well. Movement helps build more durable, denser bones. Bone-building activities like resistance training (weights), weight-bearing exercises (jogging, walking, hiking), and balance training (yoga) can support better bone density. Exercise can also help manage your weight, lower your blood pressure, cholesterol, and reduce your risk of heart disease.

Looking for a rush of blood? Get MOVEing.

Moving your body gets your heart beating and your blood flowing. By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin. In addition to providing oxygen, blood flow also helps carry away waste products, including free radicals, from working cells. By increasing blood flow to the liver, the organ with the job of neutralizing toxins, a bout of exercise helps flush out your system.

Kids Size Guide

For kids sizing we have tested and bench marked our product against average sized kids. We do not have kids specific sizing, rather we have re-engineered our smaller adult sizes to suit kids. Whilst not an exact science given the different growth rates of kids, but we find that 2XS adult sized product is suited to children in the 9-11 year age group, and XS adult sized product is suited for children in the 12-13 year age group.
